What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

Our media project would be distributed by a major company because it mainly follows the codes and conventions of a psychological thriller movie. The codes and conventions I used will help produce a psychological thriller movie that will appeal to the majority of the thriller fans.

Film four could distribute our movie as it is based in the UK and also has done well known films such as '127 hours' and 'Slumdog millionaire'. This could help our film to be well known in the UK and get us good publicity. Film 4 productions is a British film production company owned by Channel Four. The company has been responsible for backing large number of films made in the United Kingdom.

As our movie genre is psychological thriller, we found out that many psychological thrillers were targeted towards people aged 18 plus because of explicit scenes. However we decided to target our movie towards slightly younger age of 16 plus. We aimed to attract an audience of 16 plus because we wanted males and females of our age to enjoy our movie.

We thought to get more publicity our media institution should be an American institution. We think that a media institution that might distribute our media product would be 'Anchor Bay Entertainment' because it specialises in a lot of thriller films like 'The Walking dead'. They also market and sell films, series and short films to consumers worldwide. Once again this could help us get publicity all over the world.

We also think that our movie project would be suitable to be played on Netflix and other websites which plays movies.
